Since last year one of the company"s activities was to develop in two parallel directions - granting of services in the NMT-450i standard (trade mark SOTEL) and introducing into the market the new digital network SKYNET (standard CDMA 2000). | | |  Having received in 2002 the permit to use of radio frequencies for the imported equipment of CDMA standard in 2003 "Kuzbass Cellular communication" was actively engaged in construction of a network and introduction of the new communication standard services to citizens.
On April, 11, 2003 the company received the License from the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation (N 25789) allowing the company to organize the network functioning in new digital CDMA 2000 standard on the frequency of 450 лHz.
The equipment was supplied to the company by a world-wide well-known ZTE Corporation (China).
Thanks to close cooperation and common goal of both parties consisting in the prompt realization of the scheduled plans, the first base station of a new generation cellular communication network was installed, mounted and tested as soon as mid-July, 2003.
The test proved the base station ready for operation.
The first marketing actions to increase the potential subscribers" awareness concerning the opportunities of the network allowed to reveal the great interest that people evinced in such services and to generate activities concerning basic needs of the future clients. | | |  n September, 2003 "Kuzbass Cellular communication" successfully participated in the "SibSvyaz-2003" exhibition taking place in the centre of Siberia - Novosibirsk.
Within its framework "Kuzbass Cellular communication" and its strategic partner ZTE Corporation together with Polenet supplying IP-channels organized and demonstrated how the new generation cellular communication network functions.
Everyone could make a trial call via SKYNET network as well as estimating the quality and link speed of data transmission from the Internet.

Such offers (fee-free per second tariffing with free-of-charge incoming calls from all mobile phones in Kuzbass, in-net call costs from $0,03 ; and unlimited "No limit" for $59 ) were not yet made by any other cellular communication operator in Kuzbass, and hardly would there be similar offers in the near future.
Low tariff rates in many respects were a determinative factor for the purchase of a SKYNET cellular phone even during test operation.
To achieve these results in the network construction and promotion of its services of cellular communication was possible due to close cooperation of the Joint-Stock Company "Kuzbass Cellular communication" with other companies of the CTS and highly skilled professionals of the company"s team.
