Being the federal executive authority, the Russian Federation Ministry of Communications and IT pursues the state policy and exercises control in communications and information field, develops and utilises new information and communications technologies. Guided by the Communications Ministry programmes, CTS Holding Company implements the set objectives.

Special reduced tariffs have been developed for pensioners. Besides, SOTEL is experienced in installing cellular payphones in hard-to-get areas with free emergency services call.

IP-telephony trunk-call offices were put into operation working from POLENET network of the joint-stock company Complex telecommunication systems. This allows subscribers to save considerable sums from their long-distance and international calls.

As to Internet access, POLENET together with the Department of Education in City Administrations is involved in homing Internet to schools. Thirty schools have already got access to the global net from CTS.

The nearest plans of CTS Holding Company foresee building of 3G communications network. This programme will make a wide range of modern premium services accessible to all the citizens of Siberia.
